According to some psychologists, all humans fall within 1 of 16 distinct personality types, which can be measured by a test called the Myers-Briggs personality test. This is a fun and easy blog and you might learn something about yourself and each other. I have done this test numerous times since I first heard Dr. Myers speak years ago and have always scored the same – INFJ (and it recommends teacher as one of my careers – go figure). So, your instructions are – take the quick quiz on the first link then go to the second link to read about your personality type. Post your “4 Letters” here, then give a brief opinion on whether you agree or disagree with the assessment of your personality. Also post a career that it mentions you are suited for and mention if you might consider doing it. Check out the percentages – some of us are borderline one type or another so if you are, both types may apply to you to some degree. I did find out that I am 100% introvert – but I really do like people, I just don’t like to be around them all of the time!
The quiz: (note – there are lots of them online – google Myers-Briggs test if you want to do more! The original paper test has a lot more than 72 questions). These tests are pretty cool – you can look into jobs, hobbies, relationships with family and friends, love relationships – all kinds of things. As Plato said “The unexamined life is not worth living!”

My letters were ENFJ, it is also another way of saying extraverted intuitive feeling judging. On the personality test this is considered “The Giver”. I would totally have to agree with this. In my opinion I tend to put other people’s needs before my own, no matter what I having going on in my life. I have a thing for caring and doing for others. I am good in social groups and don’t mind standing up in front of a crowd and performing or speaking. I love to bring out the joy in people and showing them a good time. I am the type who hates being alone but not all the time, because having time to myself is needed sometimes. I have a focused mindset because I know what I want in life and I’m not going to stop until I achieve my goals. This personality test was very accurate. I’m all about being happy and spreading love to my peers! I learned that I am 44% intuitive. But I don’t believe I judge situations before actually having all the possibilities. I actually like to look at all sides of the story. However, it took time to get that way. A job that was listed that I could consider is Social Worker / Counselor. I could see myself doing this because I like to hear about what others are experiencing & would like to help them come to a comfortable state about their situations. Being there for others is what that job asks for and that’s something I like to do for others because it’s something I would want someone to do for me also. That career is known as a care giver and putting others before themselves and that describes me well. However, the career I want to fulfill in life is being a nurse for geriatrics. This is because I feel that I have a big heart and I enjoy the company of the elderly and doing for those who aren’t able to do for themselves.

Isabel Myers and her mother, Katherine Briggs, were fascinated with Carl Jung’s theory on personality types. With the World War II occurring, Myers and Briggs wanted to come up with a way to help people better understand their personality to improve contentment in life. They came up with four pairs that could potentially fit a personality: extraverted and introverted, sensing and intuition, thinking and feeling, and judging and perceiving. (http://psychology.about.com/od/psychologicaltesting/a/myers-briggs-type-indicator.htm) The Myers-Briggs personality test gave me INTJ: Introvert (22%), Intuitive (12%), Thinking (12%), and Judging (33%). I agree with the introvert part because I have taken other personality tests and they have said the same thing. It says that INTJs “spend a lot of time inside their own mind,” which I know I definitely do. It also says that many INTJs tend to lean towards engineering and scientific pursuits. It’s amusing because I have been considering going into Environmental Engineering. INTJs are also natural leaders but will follow someone else if they trust that leader a lot. I don’t personally agree with being a natural leader because I know that it’s a lot of harder for me to lead when I am put into that position. However, I do agree with following a leader that I trust. Careers that it gave me were: computer programming, natural science, teaching natural science, and engineering. Like I said before, I have been considering environmental engineering so the careers that I was given follow what I am going for. “It is not easy for the INTJ to express their internal images, insights, and abstractions…also have difficulty expressing ideas…” (http://www.personalitypage.com/html/INTJ.html) I completely agree with this statement about INTJs. It is fairly hard for me to be explain myself when I try, I know what I’m trying to say I just can’t find a way to put it into words.

The four letters I received were ESFJ. I’m 67% Extravert, 25% Sensing, 25% Feeling, and 11% Judging. I agree with the assessment of my personality, because throughout my life I’m known for not judging or thinking bad of others. I do feel for others and their troubles, and I am one to help others out with their struggles. I am an active person. I do attend events with my church allot going to dance with my dance team, helping other members of the church, and out reach ministry. I am mostly strong in my decisions and I do not feel iffy on what I believe in. I am “The Caregiver”. A career it given me from my personality was management. That makes sense allot, because my mom was a manager for her job for years before she promoted. so I guess I can say I got the “manager” within me from my mom. I do want to engage with other career types though that didn’t show for my personality, but manager was a good choice given. The MBTI questionnaire, in 1943 this was first published. It was originally developed in the U.S. by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers. Myers was determined to help people out in hard times,”Driven by a desire to help people understand themselves and each other better in a post-war climate, Isabel Myers set about devising a questionnaire that would identify which psychological type a person was.” Myers had been inspired by a man named Carl Jung, he was known as a founding father of modern-day psychology, “His theory of psychological types proposes that people are innately different, both in terms of the way they see the world and take in information, and how they make decisions. Briggs and Myers thought that these ideas were so useful that they wanted to make them accessible to a wider audience.”

I received the letters ISTJ. The letters stand for Introvert Sensing Thinking Judging. I am forty-four percent introvert. This pretty much means I’m “energized” by being alone and “drained” by being with other people. I am one percent sensing, which means I marginally focus on the concrete and tangible over the abstract and theoretical. I am also one percent thinking, which means I marginally choose rationality over letting my feelings control my actions. I am twenty-two percent judging, which means I prefer to live a structured lifestyle rather than an adaptable one.
ISTJ is also called “The Duty Fulfiller.” It says people in this category are dependable and diligent workers. It says they can accomplish nearly any task if they put their mind to it.
I may not be very dependable all the time, but overall I can be trusted. I do believe I can do anything I put my mind to. I agree that I am an introvert. I agree that I fall into the sensing category, because I will take hard evidence over theories any day. I am pretty close in the thinking/feeling category, and I agree with that. I would also like to live a structured lifestyle as opposed to one that fluctuates often.
The occupations which have been listed are definitely agreeable to me. I love working with computers, so I would love to be a computer programmer. Also, I hope to be a psychiatrist when I grow up, so I was baffled when it recommended attending a career in the medical field.
This test is pretty cool, man. Contrary to popular belief among my peers, however, it didn’t show that I would be worshiping Satan.

I got INTJ. Introvert 33%, Intuitive 12%, Thinking 1%, Judging 44%. I have moderate preference on Introversion over Extraversion. I have slight preference of Intuition over sensing. I have marginal or no preference of thinking over feeling. I have moderate preference of Judging over perceiving. It states INTJ’s have self-confidence. If you were to ask me three years ago if I were to agree with this I would say no. Now? I would say I have self-confidence, “cocky?” no. Self-confidence? Yes. I don’t mind speaking about my opinion anymore, I use to be worried someone would think I was wrong, but I realized it matters that I believe in myself. I use to be so scared to even answer a question in class that I would tell someone around me the answer to the question, but now I just answer myself. INTJ’s are perfectionist. Do I find myself a perfectionist? Yes. I push myself to do it to the best of my ability, I will rewrite and rewrite until I am satisfied. It states, “Personal relationships, particularly romantic ones, can be the INTJ’s Achilles heel. While they are capable of caring deeply for others (usually a select few), and are willing to spend a great deal of time and effort on a relationship, the knowledge and self-confidence that make them so successful in other areas can suddenly abandon or mislead them in interpersonal situations”. Do I agree? Of course, and those very few select people know who they are. One of the suggest jobs is law. For the past couple of years I have wanted to be a lawyer, but this year I have started to doubt myself and believe that I wouldn’t make it through law school. http://www.humanmetrics.com/hr/JTypesResult.aspx
My personality type is the scientist.
Independent; yes I don’t like being helped. I’m 16. I have been on my own for awhile now. I don’t like the thought of needing someone. What would I do if something happened to them?
Original; yes, I don’t copy anyone.
Determined; yes, I am determined to get A’s. I am determined to get out of this town. I am determined to finally prove to all the people in my class that like to think that I’m just another girl that I am somebody. I’m not just somebody smart.
Very high standards for their performance; I believe I can do better. I believe I can go somewhere in this place. I believe I can get a better grade. I believe I can. I know I can. http://www.personalitypage.com/html/high-level.html

ENTJ
Extravert(22%) iNtuitive(25%) Thinking(25%) Judging(33%)
I agree with most of this survey. The part that I don’t agree with is the statement “”I make these little plans that really don’t have any importance to anyone else, and then feel compelled to carry them out.” ” (http://www.humanmetrics.com/personality/entj) I do not make little plans and feel compelled to carry them out. It is very interesting that the survey classifies me as a leader because I try to be one and see myself as so. The survey also says that I get argumentative when challenged which is also true but many people get this way. I do feel this encompasses my personality well being that I’m not strongly aimed towards any of these categories. I’ve taken other surveys in which the results came out to me being one answer away from the alternative personality.
The careers mention are eerily similar to what I want to do in the future. Law, politics, and business management. I will be entering the field of law and then later politics in which i will hopefully become a high figure in the United States.
This is an interesting way to find out more about yourself and how you relate to others.

The four letters that I got were ISFJ which means Introvert Sensing Feeling Judging. It says that I am one that desires to serve others, and that my “need is to be needed”. I think that I am like this because I try to help people when I can, but at other times I just want to be left alone. It also says that we are unappreciated because people rely on us for our high-quality work.It says that I have 44 percent judging over perceiving.
The careers that they think are good for me are nurses, patient care, medical services, and administrative jobs. This fits me due to the fact that I want to be an Athletic Trainer.

The letters I received are ENFP
Extravert(33%) intuitive(12%) Feeling(38%) and Perceiving(22)%
My personality can be described as “The Inspirer” http://www.personalitypage.com/html/ENFP.html
I agree that some of these personality traits reflect me, but I disagree with “ENFPs almost always have a strong need to be liked. ENFP will tend to be “gushy” and insincere, and generally “overdo” in an effort to win acceptance.” I strongly disagree with this because I really don’t care if someone doesn’t like me, I continue to live life and not care. My career choices are said to be changed during the future, which is true because I like variety and I also like to try new things. With that being said, I really enjoyed taking this quiz because I got to learn new things about myself.

With the letters ISFJ, I am known as “The Nurturer.” ISFJ stands for Introvert 11%, Sensing 1%, Feeling 12%, and Judging 33%. ISFJs are said to be warm and kind-hearted. It also says that we are dependable, work hard, and tend to put others before ourselves. “It would not be uncommon for the ISFJ to remember a particular facial expression or conversation in precise detail years after the event occurred, if the situation made an impression on the ISFJ.” This statement stood out to me because it is something that I actually do. I’ve always thought that it was a weird trait because nine out of ten times I always remember peoples faces (even if I had only seen it for a second) and sometimes they don’t remember mine. I completely agree with everything the website says about my personality type. However, none of the career paths really interest me. The only one I would really consider is child care/early childhood development. I do like helping people and playing with little kids and making them laugh. It says ISFJs prefer and work/learn better with hands-on experience. That’s why I have been considering a career in anthropology and archeology. I would rather actually be doing something physically than sitting and reading about it.

I got ENFJ, I agree I didn’t realize how quickly I got a long with people until I went to Demi Lovato’s concert this past Sunday. I went alone and within 10 minutes I had an entire group of people following me around. It also says I have a tendency to overthink things which is entirely true. http://www.personalitypage.com/html/high-level.html

Even though I don’t have this class anymore, this was my favorite blog post, so I’m doing it again. My letters were INFJ. I’m not at all surprised by this, especially the description and career possibilities. This past weekend I went to a diversity conference at Chapel Hill (which was very eye-opening about social justice issues) and that’s the first time I realized how introverted I can be at times. I am extremely intuitive about the way other people are feeling. I thought the description was interesting when it said INFJs are perfectionists, but they doubt they’re living up to their full potential. That’s me, nothing I do is ever “good enough” for me, I always feel like I can do better.
As far as career choices go, this personality type is dead on for me. I’ve changed what I want to do several times, but it’s always something involved with education and social sciences. When I took this class, I wanted to be an education major and teach elementary children. However, now that I’m not in the class, I’ve realized I love history, so I’d rather be a history major and do something with it at the high school or college level.

ENFP
Extravert(39%) iNtuitive(25%) Feeling(75%) Perceiving(11%)
I think they got me, pretty well, described. The survey states that I have an extraverted intuition with introverted feelings, which describes me as a people person who has great social skills. I don’t think I have great people skills, but I try and do my best whenever I can. It also states that “an ENFP needs to focus on following through with their projects.” This accurately described me, due to the fact of The Red Badge of Courage, not being read in its entirety by the due date, for Noblitt. But the most interesting conclusion that the survey enlightened me on, was the topic of my career. It states that ENFP’s don’t like to be controlled, and have a sense of contempt for mundane jobs. So being the head of my own business would benefit me, according to the survey. I think it’s extremely intriguing to find out the things I did about myself from this survey.

The letters I received were INFP. I’m 56% Introvert, 62% Intuitive, 62% Feeling, and 33% Perceiving. I’m classified as ‘The Idealist’. Individuals classified as idealists are those who are quiet, reflective, and idealistic. Idealists can often be described as loyal, adaptive, and laid-back people who have a strong value system. They are usually talented writers who are mentally quick and interested in understanding and helping people. I found that this test was actually pretty accurate for me, so I agree with my results. One of the jobs that was for listed for me was a psychologist which plays into my life very well because psychology is a major that I have considered pursuing for myself in college. INFP’s are considered to be one of the more rare personality types. They only account for around 4% of the population.

My letters were INFJ. 78% introvert, 12% intuitive, 38% feeling, and 56% judging. This means I am labeled under “The Idealist,” which I do agree with because I get very irritated if I don’t do all that I am asked and/or required to do. Idealists are also strongly concerned with personal relationships with others. I feel responsible if someone I care about deeply is hurting or upset or what have you, which I’m only able to be emotionally connective with very few people. One thing it describes is that INFJ’s are mistaken for extroverts which I seem like around certain people, but in reality, I’m far from it. I would have to say I do disagree with the me being 38% feeling because I personally feel like my thinking and feeling go hand-in-hand with each other because the way I feel about specific things just seem common sense or logical to me. Two careers it suggested for me are education and arts (musical) and this is self-reflective because I’m strongly considering becoming a music teacher. It also suggests Psychology which I find interesting.

Wow lol that is kinda surprising…. It says I’m a scientist… I guess I sorta agree… It does say that we have really high standards, which I kinda do…. I also like being organized… I don’t think I am a natural leader though… One thing that is for sure though is that I do not get out much…. I’m either playing video games, watching netflix, or playing video games… According to the jobs (if I clicked the right thing) it said I might like to go into the field of natural science or computer programming… Computer programming sounds nifty, but I’m really not feeling the whole natural science thing… I was never good in science class.. Also the lawyer part sounds fun.. I might look into the whole lawyer thing XD…

The letters I got were INTJ Introvert 78%, iNtuitive 62%, Thinking 38%, Judging 56%. I completely agree with what this says my personality is. because I do like science and organization, plus I do find I have trouble expressing my thoughts and ideas to people. I also do have high standards of intelligence, competence, and knowledge, which, by the way, are not met by a LOT of the students at Hunter Huss but… anyway I also agree that I can lead if I want to. and after taking multiple tests like this one in career management they all say generally the same as this one but moderately worded differently. They also all recommend the same types of careers like a scientist, surgeon, computer programming, various types of engineering and some business management things. But mostly I’m considering a career in either computer programming or video game design.

I am INFJ. The percentages are Introvert(67%) Intuitive(62%) Feeling(25%) Judging(44%). This sentence sums me up pretty well: “INFJs are gentle, caring, complex and highly intuitive individuals. Artistic and creative, they live in a world of hidden meanings and possibilities” (http://www.personalitypage.com/html/INFJ.html). I care a lot about people and animals, and sometimes when I see them hurt or hopeless, I can’t help but be emotional about it (probably where I get some of those points for feeling). I guess getting good grades, reading dense books, and always trying to analyze everything makes me intuitive. As an artistic person, I paint/sketch/draw surrealism which is where creativity seeps in. Additionally, I love to write, whether that be a short story, novel, poem or song. Although all of the above is all true, I think there is no better word to describe me than complex. There is only one person in this world that knows me fully, and that is my older sister. It says, “INFJs are rarely at complete peace with themselves – there’s always something else they should be doing to improve themselves and the world around them. They believe in constant growth, and don’t often take time to revel in their accomplishments” which is completely true. The other day, my friends and I were talking about how we deal with arguments with other people, and I responded that I feel uncomfortable, almost guilty when I argue with someone. The profile of my personality type says that I am “very sensitive to conflict, and cannot tolerate it very well” (http://www.personalitypage.com/html/INFJ.html). However, it mentions that my personality type tends to think that they are always right, which doesn’t relate to me. I try to be as modest as possible and I incline to be dubious of my answers. It also says that my personality type usually goes for the sciences. The farthest I will go with science will probably be environmental architecture, but nothing with chemistry or biology. As far as careers go, my top three were literature and writing, humanities, and arts and design. I’ve always wanted to be an accomplished author and I want to major in architecture.

EXTRA CREDIT:
The only thing interesting I found was the history behind the test. Katharine Cook Briggs and Isabel Briggs-Myers were the ones that created the personality test. Katharine observed the differences between herself and her family members and came up with four different factors in personality: Thoughtful, Spontaneous, Executive, and Social. After reading “Personality Types” by Jung, she realized that his personality factors were similar to hers except much more in depth. Her daughter, Isabel Briggs-Myers, helped her mother in the research of the psychology of personality after college graduation. It was during World War II that they started to create the test, thinking that women that were working in the industry would find it easier if they knew their personality better so that they could pick the most comfortable job. They officially finished and published it in 1962.

I was skipping around while writing this, so forgive me for the confusion.

The letters I got were ESFP; 44% extravert, 38% sensing, 25% feeling, and 11% perceving. My personality type is known as “The Performer”. A performer is thought to be a very optimistic, fun loving person. One to put others before themselves, and to want everyone to be happy. They are also thought to be a person who truly lives for the moment and focuses mainly on how they feel at that certain point in time. A performer also isn’t a creature of habit, but loves new expirences and new things. They don’t do well in negative situations because that bad feeling often overwhelms them. They like being around people and are likely to have a career that involves people of any age, or animals. The main job that I want to go through with when I get to college isn’t on the list. Which is a zoologist, but a photographer is and I have considered it many times. It may also become a side job, or hobby I may pursue. I think the results I got back were pretty accurate. This shows that my four letters are ENTP. The four letters meaning that I am 67% Extravert, 12% Intuitive, 38% Thinking, and 11% Perceiving. I actually mostly agree with this personality type that this site has given me. For one I do love to argue and when I’m truly wanting to argue over something I take it very serious and competitively, such as the site says treating arguments like it’s a sport. The site describes ENTPs as being innovative and ingenious at problem solving which, not to toot my own horn, I do consider myself rather good at solving problems. It refers to this as problem solving such as verbal gymnastics. The statement of being optimist by looking at setbacks and problems as challenges, and the statement of being very impatient with people we consider unintelligent. These two statements would also be very true even though it’s probably frowned upon to be impatient with someone who I may consider wrongheaded or unintelligent, that’s just how I am. The next thing I agree with is that to communicate with me the person has to be very straightforward. This is true not only because my hearing blows but because in order to get my attention or to acknowledge you then you have to be to the point or I’m not going to care. Lastly, the site says people with this personality are capable of bonding very closely and suddenly with their loves ones. I consider this to be very true because family is one of the most important things to me and when i hang around people for long enough periods it doesn’t take a lot of time for me to start treating them as family also.
One of the careers suggested for me is engineering. Which couldn’t be more spot on since I’ve wanted to be a mechanical engineer ever since the 7th grade. So I definitely agree with this career pathway suggestion on this website. Overall I think this little quick quiz is a good little tool to help people see what they might be interested in and enjoy doing later in life.

It said that they are some of the most important people in the world. They see the positive things in life. But it also said that they can be mean and fierce. My letter are INTJ. Introvert(11%), intuitive (19%), Thinking(38%), Judging(50%). I am the Scienctist.I totally agree with these letters and the personality description. Having Introvert being 11% is kind of right because I like to stay to myself but I like to people around me at certain times. Also having Judging being 50% absolutely correct because everytime I go into a new situation or meet a new person I instantly judge whether if I want interact with that person or situation. I also hate talking to people about my feeling. I like to kept my feeling with me and deal with them on my own or just ignore them, I never express them. Having Thinking being 38% is a little bit low because all day everyday I spend my spare time thinking about everything in the world I can. A few thing are how my life is going to be when I grow up, what people think about me as a person. All and all I think this test is really accurrate and I enjoyed finding new thing about myself.

I received the letters enfp. This suggests that I am an extreme extrovert- I feed off the energy of other people. This is entirely true. I love being around other people, and the feeling that comes along with those situations; the majority of the time. I would pick being with a crowd of my people over being in my own solitude. This test also made me realize that though I long for adventure, but I stick to what’s familiar – I cling to the conventional ways to solve problems instead of venturing out and trying something new. I realize that’s my personality, but that is something I’d like to change about myself. As for my future career, it is obvious that I need to choose a career that allows me to be involved with other people.

I received the letters ENFJ. Which states that I: have marginal or no preference of Extraversion over Introversion (1%), I have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (25%)?, I have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (25%), and I have marginal or no preference of Judging over Perceiving (1%). The letters reveal that I am a giver and I am popular and sensitive, with outstanding people skills. I also am externally focused, with real concern for how others think and feel. I absolutely agree with this because this is very true about me. I care about what other people think and their opinions. As an ENFJ we are people that are very focused individuals. I understand and care about people, and have a special talent for brining out the best in others. I agree with the letter because this is me 100%

I got INTJ: Introvert, intuitive, thinking, judging. I am the scientist. My highest percentage was introvert, which I agree with; social situations are very stressful for me and I like to spend a lot of time alone. I was surprised with some of the careers that were suggested for me. Apparently, INTJs are good at computer programming and natural sciences, and those are not careers that I am interested in. To me, the most interesting part of this quiz is finding out real and fictional people that have the same personality type as you. Of the real people I got, my favorites are Hillary Clinton, Jane Austen, C.S. Lewis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger (who knew we had so much in common). Of the fictional characters that have the same personality type as me, my favorites are Mr. Darcy, Hannibal Lecter, Professor Moriarty, and GANDALF. I don’t think any of these people, real or not, would have been good computer programmers.

The letters i got were ENFJ. Extrovert(56%) Intuitive(25%) Feeling(12%) Judging(1%) . I think this fully describes me because i like to be around others. I like being in big crowds. This test made me narrow down what i would like to study in college and what i want to be when I grow up. Social work or counseling were always one of my choices but I never actually considered them. http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp

I took the quiz and it looks at me as an idealist (INFP). I enjoyed taking this 5 minute quiz and reading questions that made me think about my personality. I am not usually very fond of taking online quizzes that would “define” us. This quiz caught a small perspective on my personality. It was a small part, yet 100% true. “Quiet, reflective, and idealistic. Interested in serving humanity. Well-developed value system, which they strive to live in accordance with. Extremely loyal. Adaptable and laid-back unless a strongly-held value is threatened. Usually talented writers. Mentally quick, and able to see possibilities. Interested in understanding and helping people.” (http://www.personalitypage.com/html/high-level.html) I have heard hundreds of times “the quiet people are usually the loudest thinkers”, I look at myself as a quiet person on the outside, but a loud problem solver and a catastrophic thinker on the inside.
“Interested in serving humanity”, This quote says a lot. I totally agree with this about me. I have a huge interest in becoming a pastor or (continue and evolve in) leading worship at various churches. People love to belittle me when In return I lift them up. I refuse to take them down with me to try to make me look stronger. I know who I am, not someone who has an outward perspective on me.
“Usually talented writers”/”Interested in understanding and helping people” , I agree, I do. I have a passion in writing music. Putting emotions down on paper then turning them into a song is always a blessing, not only to me but to others. That’s why I write music. I believe that our words and even actions can lose a battle, but with music, we can win a war. Music can go where we can’t physically.
I read more on Myers Briggs and I have found this quote “..behavior is quite orderly and constant”. I agree and I also take from this that even though we may not see it, our personality is a daily routine. (http://www.myersbriggs.org/my-mbti-personality-type/mbti-basics/)

Myers and Briggs thought that if they could help people understand themselves they could help them find the right occupation. They got interested in this off of the Jung’s theory of psychological types. The first version of the test they created was in 1940 and it was the pen-and-pencil version. They continued working on this for two decades.http://psychology.about.com/od/psychologicaltesting/a/myers-briggs-type-indicator.htm

After I took this personality quiz, I was described with the letters of INFJ. http://www.humanmetrics.com/hr/JTypesResult.aspx As the information stated…I am slightly an introvert. The informative page on my personality also said, “INFJs are deeply concerned about their relations with individuals as well as the state of humanity at large. They are, in fact, sometimes mistaken for extroverts because they appear so outgoing and are so genuinely interested in people — a product of the Feeling function they most readily show to the world.” http://www.humanmetrics.com/personality/infj . I would agree with this completely. I care so much about people and really love to be there and support others through the good and bad. Also, I am by no means a person who is afraid of being social and sits in their room all day all alone; although, I am not this great social jock that enjoys being the center of attention. I love to help people, be there for them, and be serious about friendships…but when it comes to big social events I rather sit in the background. Intuition wise I would also agree…I have very good discernment between right/wrong, wise/unwise, true/not true. I believe that feelings are a very larger part of me compared to thinking. I am a very loving guy and do not just observe things and think from one point of view. My feelings lead me to understanding others and really relating to them personally. Honestly, I would agree with the judgment factor of my personality. I judge every situation in my mind that I am told before I create an opinion. I examine all the facts so that what I believe is based on the full truth. I do not want to perceive from only one point of view that I am told…I must look at both sides and judge myself.
It was very interesting to look at the career choices that my personality would fit with knowing the career that I believe I am being called to do. The career paragraph stated, “… various service-oriented professions as well as religious services and social movements are just some of the examples of occupations favourable to INFJs.” http://www.humanmetrics.com/hr/you/careerchoices.aspx?EI=-22&SN=-50&TF=-12&JP=44 . In the past two years of my life, I have felt the calling of ministry to become a youth pastor. I just find it pretty amazing that a personality quiz even believes that my personality is the right kind for this kind of career and work.

The letters I received were INFJ and I would have to strongly agree with the whole description given. They call the INFJ “The Protector”. I give my all to my family and friends for nothing in return.

The letters I received were ENFP or Extraverted Intuition with Introverted Feeling. I’m 38% iNtuitive which I agree but I don’t always follow my feeling in some situations. I am classified as “The Inspirer”. I would have to say that I do agree and disagree only with one thing with this survey. As I read the ENFP article I did see things that relate to me in so many ways. This article says that I am interested in people which is true. I enjoy trying to figure out what type of character/personality a person is. For some reason I enjoy that, and seem to a find a way to relate to them. I love helping someone resolve their issues and always end up being very sympathetic to them. One thing I don’t really agree with is that I have the tendency to have to be liked. When I was younger I did want people to like me but I wouldn’t be insincere or do something that I knew was against my values or morals. I was taught that not everyone would like me. As I grew up I accepted that fact. And as long as I have not done anything wrong to hurt you in any type of way and you don’t like me, I just don’t really care. I’ve learned that the only people who matter are the ones that I Love and care about. It said that I am a very sensitive and alert person. I agree with this 100%. Even though I’m very sensitive I don’t allow people to know that side of me I just keep it to myself. Im always watching everything around me because I like knowing my surroundings. One thing I’m very proud of is that I am very independent. I don’t really enjoy depending on anyone for anything. When I want to get something done I get it done and when I don’t it’s because I just really don’t care. I also agree on losing myself at times. Sometimes I get so caught up in my emotions that I feel like just giving up on my goals and lose myself. But as soon as I start feeling that way I try to get back on track by surrounding myself with people and talking to someone very close to me. Two of my career options is to be a psychologist or reporter which I am indeed interested in :). i just want to be able to help people in any type of way and try to make a difference in this overrated world…I like taking tests like these in general so I did enjoy taking this test for my blog post. Better than having to do the other stuff.

The reason why the Myers-Briggs research was conducted was to try to help people choose an occupation that was best suited for their personalty. This test is still widely used today since world war II. It’s really cool that mother and daughter created this test.

The letters that I got were INFP (introvert, intuitive, feeling, perceiving). Some of the career choices that were chosen for me were in counseling, education, humanities, graphic design, literature, and archaeology. This doesn’t surprise me as much as I thought it would considering that these were all careers that I used to dream of having when I was little. I learned that INFP people have the ability to see the good in anyone and that is a perfect description of myself. INFPs are also very observant, and spontaneous. To be honest I thought this test wouldn’t be legit, but I really feel like they know me based on a few questions that I answered which is pretty amazing. I saw that my personality trait was know as “the idealist” and in the description, it says ” Interested in serving humanity.” (http://www.personalitypage.com/html/INFP.html) This made me happy because I am always ready to help people. I am definitely interested in doing more tests like this one.

My personality was ENFP. I was kind of shocked because I took the same test at the beginning of the first semester but I had different results. But, the results were very similar. With being an ENFP it described me as having a broad range of talents and skills. It also stated that we don’t like having the same schedule. That is extremely true about me because I don’t want to do the same thing everyday for the rest of my life. I have always loved being around people and I don’t think that will ever change and with my possible careers I am able to be around people, not have a strictly schedule that is is repetitive and I can use my creativity. The career options that they gave me that I was interested in were an entrepreneur, counselor and a consultant. With me wanting to become a fashion stylist I am able to combine the careers of a consultant along with an entrepreneur. I really enjoy helping others and bringing them joy and that’s one of my ways that I feel I can help other. Another aspect that they pointed out was that ENFP’s were people pleasers. I am that way with people that are important in my life but if the person isn’t really important to me I don’t try to please them. I really enjoyed this test (again) and it helped me to see how much I have changed over some months.

I’m pretty excited to learn that there are other infp’s haha
I was the only one in my class.
This time I got 100% introvert, 62% intuition, 38% feeling, and 89% perceiving.
I’m in a weird mood though..my introvert and perceiving are usually a little lower and my feeling is usually a little higher. I’m really tired and I feel drained, so that might have something to do with it.
